It’s wonderful to see Rother Street Arts breathing new life into such an important cultural space for the town. This venue has a real history, and it feels genuinely special to see its legacy continuing in a way that’s thoughtful, ambitious, and rooted in community. I’ve already been to a few performances and have been really impressed by what’s been on. There’s a real sense of care behind the programming, and the upcoming line-up looks strong, especially for a venue that’s only just getting started. Spaces like this matter. They bring people together, give artists a platform, and add depth to Stratford’s cultural life beyond the obvious landmarks. It already feels like a place that belongs to the town, and I’m excited to see it grow and thrive in the years ahead.

This is my 2nd visit to the Arts House the 1st being to see The Bohemians and last night Christmas quiz with my family and I have to say we had a lovely evening on bith occasions. The staff were friendly, welcoming and totally inclusive. The venue is spotless, ticket prices are reasonably priced with an easy booking system and the cafe/bar is well stocked and also reasonably priced. Looking at the previous 2 negative reviews, I would agree that management do need to implement no videoing during performances as it is very distracting however, I'm not sure whether Hillay's review is more of a personal attack aimed towards to the new team rather than a review of her visit to the venue. I would suggest if your in Stratford looking for something a bit different come and see for yourself.

We went to see Karl Loxley last night. The evening was spoilt by a person 2 rows in front of us videoing it on her mobile phone. I spoke to the manager during the interval, however the person passed her phone to her partner who continued to video the 2nd half. The light from their phone was a major distraction and spoilt what should have been an enjoyable evening. May I suggest that videoing is not permitted during performances at this theatre. I would think twice before going to any concert at this venue in the future. Yours sincerely Jane Ireland (Mrs)

Loved Beauty and the Beast. Better, if anything, than last year’s pantomime. Some really excellent singing and super costumes.

EDIT - After chasing once more via email, Rebecca kindly resolved this issue and sorted my carer ticket and assistance dog access. I'm aware that the theatre is going through some significant change, so I was informed that this is the reason why they were unable to come back to me. Rebecca has been very kind and helpful since speaking and I now feel reassured my query has been resolved. I look forward to attending the upcoming theatre production and I wish the team all the best with the upcoming theatre changes. Original review: Staff are unaware of basic processes and policies such as booking carer tickets or assistance dog access to the venue. I put an online enquiry through on their website requesting this (almost 1 month ago now) and not one person has followed this up. When I call the main number it takes me to Playhouse theatres in Cardiff, not even this venue. The play is now in 2 weeks and I am worried I will not be able to get tickets. This is simply unnaceptable and I am extremely disappointed at the total apathy and care for disabled customers.
